Workplace Overview

My role in the Marketing and Communications department at Gillette Children’s primarily surrounded work on the user experience, design, and management of the public-facing website. I also provided additional design and user experience support for internal digital platforms on a case-by-case basis. This position allowed me to work on a variety of smaller web and design projects on a daily and weekly basis while also providing me the opportunity to be a part of a major website redesign project. Gillette Project Examples

  • The largest and longest project I worked on at Gillette was the redesign of the public-facing website. For more than a year, I worked as a member of a small group to reinvent the user experience, information architecture, and visual design of the website. Data exploration and research were important for this project to support our design and development decisions.

  • Along with the site redesign, another favorite project was a strategic and educational web manual that I began creating to stand as a guide and provide support and documentation for all things web at Gillette. Topics covered in the manual include: browsers and extensions, content management, links on the web, screenshots, PDF’s and other documents, accessibility and inclusive design, images and graphics, and more.
